a fresh brew warming the board

bom dia · bonjour

Paris meets Rio on a sunny
Lisbon corner

A bright little room in Alcântara — a glass of water before you've said a word, pão de queijo straight from the oven, and a bowl for the dog.

two homelands, one counter

Paris for the coffee, Rio for the soul

Romain Dias is French. He pulls the coffee on the La Marzocco and bakes the cakes. Joana Fortuna is Brazilian. She bakes the pão de queijo, fresh from the oven all day. They're a couple, and the name is their two origins in one word: Paris + carioca.

You'll spot the Copacabana wave around the room. That wave is calçada portuguesa, pavement Portugal sent to Rio a century ago. A Lisbon café nodding to Copacabana is the pattern coming home. Paris, Rio, Lisbon, all on one sunny corner.
